We start off with a meeting (in-person or virtual) to understand what your child needs and to set goals.
I personalize each session by incorporating your child's hobbies and interests when explaining concepts. In addition, I bring engaging math stories, real-world examples, and puzzles/games to our sessions.
Between sessions, I offer off-hours help to answer quick questions before the next session. If you're stuck on a problem between sessions, send me a message and I'll respond in a timely manner!
Progress reports sent to parents upon request.
K-12 math (elementary, middle, and high school math), pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, algebra 2, pre-calculus, trigonometry, calculus, math SAT prep, and some college math courses. Other than math, I also teach music theory, music composition, piano, and computer programming.
Whether your child is struggling to keep up or wanting more rigor in their math journey, I'm here to help! As a math tutor with nearly a decade of experience in teaching, I've helped dozens of students go from falling behind to being ahead by addressing knowledge gaps and building confidence. I have taught all ages, ranging from elementary school children to college students and adults. I break down concepts into simple steps that are easy to manage, often designing exercises tailored to each student's ability and interest. I hold degrees in math, music, and computer science, and I offer tutoring virtually and in-person in Hood River, Oregon. As of Spring 2026, my rates start at $60 per 50-minute session and $35 per 30-minute session.
